Watch our progress around the lake on April 27!
Skutt Catholic President John F. McMahon will lead HawkWalk 2016. We ask you to join him in raising $25,000 in support of SC’s Financial Aid Program. Progress towards this school wide goal can be followed here. Watch as your donations help our boots move around the virtual lake!
WHAT IS HAWKWALK?
HawkWalk is an all-school FUNdraising event. Students, faculty, and staff are asked to raise money for Skutt Catholic’s Financial Aid Fund. The goal this year is $25,000. Fundraising efforts take place for two weeks and on April 27 a five-mile walk takes place. All students, faculty, and staff participate in the walk. Upon our return to school, a picnic lunch is provided for all.
WHEN IS HAWKWALK?
HawkWalk is scheduled for Wed., April 27. The rain date is Wed., May 4. There is an abbreviated class schedule. At 9:30 a.m. everyone heads to the main gym for a prayer service. The walk begins immediately after announcements and lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. and dismissal is around 1 p.m.
WHERE IS HAWKWALK?
HawkWalk follows a path from Skutt Catholic to Lake Zorinsky, around the larger of the two lakes and back to school. Lunch is served in the back parking lot.
WHY DO WE SCHEDULE HAWKWALK?
HawkWalk gives our students, faculty, and staff a unifying assignment to give back to the school. Everyone can participate. Everyone can make a difference. It’s a fun and healthy opportunity to work together for a common cause. The cause, building the financial aid fund, ensures that all who wish to attend Skutt Catholic have the ability to do so.
